Main Street Collective is a curated Southern handmade marketplace built for makers who want a clearer, more supportive way to sell online. Instead of forcing every business into the same setup, we offer two ways to join.
Two ways to sell with Main Street Collective
1. Use the Main Street Collective vendor portal
This option is for makers who do not have a website or who want us to host their marketplace storefront. You can upload products, manage orders, and build visibility without creating a separate ecommerce site.
- Starter: $25 per month plus 20% commission
- Growth: $45 per month plus 15% commission
- Pro: $75 per month plus 10% commission
Apply through the vendor portal.
2. Connect your existing Shopify store through Shopify Collective
If you already have a Shopify store, you can keep managing your products, inventory, and fulfillment from your own website. Shopify Collective lets approved makers connect those products to Main Street Collective without paying a monthly portal fee or recreating every listing.
Start the Shopify Collective path.
What happens after you apply?
- We review fit. Main Street Collective is carefully selected rather than mass listed. We look at product quality, brand readiness, location, and the story behind the business.
- We confirm your path. We will help you determine whether the hosted vendor portal or Shopify Collective is the better setup.
- We build your marketplace presence. Approved makers receive a collection and discovery opportunities across relevant state pages, guides, gift edits, and maker stories.
- You begin selling. You remain responsible for accurate inventory, timely fulfillment, and customer-ready product information.
What makes Main Street Collective different?
We are building a marketplace around real makers, useful discovery, and the places and stories connected to Southern handmade goods. The goal is not to crowd thousands of anonymous listings onto a page. It is to help shoppers understand who made something, where it came from, and why it is worth discovering.
- Curated marketplace placement
- State and regional discovery
- Maker storytelling and editorial features
- Marketing and promotional support
- A private vendor community
- Free and discounted resources through Makers Academy
Which option should you choose?
Choose the vendor portal if you need Main Street Collective to host your storefront. Choose Shopify Collective if you already operate a Shopify store and want to keep your independent website while expanding into another sales channel.
